Hey There, I'm Savannah!
I was raised in the Rocky Mountains of Utah with a hearty dose of Scandinavia thrown in. I spent many of my childhood summers biking around iconic red cottages in the Swedish countryside and filling bag after bag full of Swedish candy. After marrying my husband and spending several years moving around the US while he served in the Army, we now live on a farm in Idaho and have three beautiful children.
Besides the full-time job of caring for my family, you can usually find me doing farm chores, poking around the garden, overcoming my fear of horses, and dreaming about some trip or project that we probably can't afford! Yes, we are a house full of dreamers.
I've spent years feeling the back and forth pull between wanting to be on the internet and wanting to ditch my phone completely and buy a landline. The pendulum has swung far in both directions. Becoming a mother only made that tension grow worse.
So I decided to start a mail club for other people like me. People who want the best of the internet without having to actually use the internet. People who want to create more than they consume. And people who want to be more present in the parts of life that make life worth living.
Does this mean we're actually throwing out our phones and ditching the world wide web? Probably not. But every moment of intentional living done screen free makes life better.
I hope Slow Down Post helps you recharge into the best version of yourself without feeling the need to reach for your phone.
